I haven’t blogged for a while but I am so
in love with God I am bursting! Its not just adrenaline or human excitement but
being in the presence of God and tasting and realising his goodness, I can’t
help but overflow and share it.
Funny, just last week I brought a picture
in a meeting that God had given me of a kettle and how God was saying that
whereas we fill it just up to the red maximum line and no more, God was calling
us to move out of what is safe and to live dangerously. My friend went home to
see what happens when you over fill a kettle and boil it…and she found the
water simply bubbles and overflows!
Later that week I was with the same friend
interceding for our church and praying that there would be ‘people deposits’ of
God everywhere that affected people and situations around them. God then showed
me a picture of deposits of bubbling lava, which led us to thinking about the
effect of a volcano. I looked it up and read this:
‘Propelled by intense heat simmering beneath the crust,
the Earth’s surface is dramatically reshaping itself in an endless, slow motion
ballet called plate tectonics. Its huge, rocky plates separate, collide, and
slide past each other causing earthquakes, feeding volcanic eruptions, and
raising mountains’
It got me thinking how landscape can change as a
result of volcanic eruption and how if the God of creation is amongst us then
surely we can expect shifts and changes in the landscape around us as we align
ourselves both with who he has called us to be on the earth and step into his
promises through bold prayers of faith.
God has promised to always be with us. Therefore, if
God is amongst us and we start believing it, nothing is impossible. As we step
into his promises it releases his presence amongst us and we will see great and
wonderful things. Signs and wonders of his presence!
I believe this year we will see more signs and wonders
and more open doors to walk through.
I am excited that I and we can be a part of what God
is doing on the earth at this time and I don’t want to miss being a part of it,
do you? You and I can write history…His story around us, wherever He places us.
We are called to rule and reign and not strive and
strain as someone recently said. From a place of his presence, from a place of
rest in his finished work and from a place of delighting in his goodness we
will boldly go and make disciples of all nations.
This morning God spoke to me through the story of
Joseph. He was God’s prophetic solution in Egypt and a picture of Jesus to
come. Overseeing provision in a time of famine all the earth came to him in
Egypt because of the bountiful supply of food. We carry that same bountiful
supply in Christ. Isaiah 60:3 says Nations shall come to your light and Kings
to the brightness of your rising.
Lets stir and encourage one another to live out of the
overflow of his goodness releasing the love of the Father wherever we are.
