This year as a student of a course called
‘Training in Supernatural Ministry’ which is held at the Kings Arms Church in
Bedford, I have had the privilege of being a part of an outreach team called
the HOTS team (Healing on the Streets)
Since last September the HOTS team of 10
have both shared the gospel and also prayed for many for healing or for some other
situation that was of concern to people or their family members.
A few weeks ago, armed with a word from God
that we would pray for blind people, the sight of two blind people was majorly
improved, we saw a woman who had suffered with stomach pain for two years and
for whom the hospital could do nothing, instantly free from both stomach and
back pain and a man gave his life to Christ on the street!
Today I had a picture as we gathered to
pray of something yellow and God reminded me of a field of Rape I had seen on
the way up to Bedford this morning, which had several paths through it. I
shared it with the team and felt the field was the harvest and the paths
represented us gong to share the way of the gospel with people.
This is what happened next and all in the
space of an hour!!
Two people came to Christ on the street. A
man’s hip was healed after saying he didn’t believe in healing. A man,
affectionately known as the ‘Baker Man’ who had been healed of a football
injury last year after a couple of the team had prayed for his knee and also
with whom they have faithfully shared the gospel since, said that tonight he
was going home to give his life to Jesus! Another man opened up and despite
having a negative view of church and experience of religion opened up to us
saying no one had ever told him how to hear God. As a result of sharing the
gospel and God’s love with him he took up the challenge to go home and read the
gospel of John and talk to God and ask him to reveal himself!
Is this good news
or what?
